The Gathering is a coalition of Jews and Christians committed to praying for peace in Israel and building bridges among the Jewish and Christian communities of greater Kansas City. The Gathering is held in February or March each year. In addition to an annual celebration and time of prayer for Israel, The Gathering has conducted other relationship-building events for Jews and Christians in Kansas City. In January 2006, a delegation made up of both faiths comprised the Jerusalem Gathering and participated in a week-long tour of the Holy Land. The tour was led by some of the city's leading rabbis and pastors and featured sites sacred to both faiths.

The Gathering acknowledges the intrinsic differences between Christians and Jews; however, it also recognizes that there are some similarities. Both faiths worship the same God, both faiths are rooted in Judaism, both faiths feel a deep sense of love and appreciation for Israel. These commonalities serve as the foundation for developing dialogue and relationships between the two communities. Together, Christians and Jews are supporting peace in Israel.

The Gathering arose out of a Jewish-Christian partnership in 2001 to increase understanding between the two communities and encourage relationship building. Since then, four Gathering events have been held, an interfaith trip to the Holy Land was conducted, and numerous friendships have been developed.
